We decided at the last minute to overnight in Dresden on the way to Berlin. We were having no luck calling the budget hotels in our guidebook before we arrived and just stopped in at the hotel on the way into town to see if they had rooms available (so we did pay rack rate). Nice and good Hotel in case you want to discover not only Dresden but also the amazing surrounds of Elbe River valley. Public transportation close to the hotel and the Bus brings you in 5 minutes right to the Historical part of Dresden. The room was very large, clean and had a balcony open to the river. The hotel was a ways out of town but it’s modern, clean, has satellite TV, hairdryer in the room, and a sauna which we didn’t have time to use. The breakfast buffet is very good as well. more

Very nice hotel, great bar & food, lovely view of the river oder from patio/drinks area. the busy road & right next too a honda car dealers is the only poor point, Hotel is on the outskirts of dresden, but a bus runs just outside the hotel intoo the heart of dresden. Lovely town. Couldnt ask for more. more
