“Right on the Water”

Spent an overnight here, and the overall impression was that the room was a bit dated, the hotel layout was a bit odd, but the position was lovely. It is right next to the water, and the regional garden show. The food was good and reasonably priced, and the staff friendly. more

Schleswig was a surprisingly wonderful stop on our trip. The town has the Viking town of Hedeby (Haitabu), some Viking long ships, bog people, modern art, a history museum, a fishermen's village, fine cathedral with stunning wood carved altarpiece and a yacht harbor. We went to this area of Germany, just for the heck of it. We are glad that we did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
