Hubby and I had a five day stay here in half term. On the way to the hotel the taxi driver told us this was the best hotel in the region. On entering the hotel looked out of this world and our bedroom was lovely as were the pool areas. No complaints here that was until we went for dinner.... more

Stayed for 3 Nights at this hotel. The hotel is not actually on the Cabo De Gata but in Retamar 15 mins from the airport. As it was off season the hotel was pretty much empty, and as a result not all the advertised facilities were available. However, the pool area is nice and the beach frontage is good too.... more

We called in on spec seeking 2 nights B&B as we wished to be adjacent to the excellent golf course nearby. We were offered a twin room for Euros 110 per night, and without prompting were offered half board. Stayed at the Barcelo Cabo da Gata the second week of September. Lots of Spanish families with young children but still plenty of sunbeds to go round and relatively quiet during the day until about 5.00 p.m. Evening entertainment every night and organised activities throughout the day. The hotel itself was lovely - The accommation could not be faulted. The location is not as lovely. It is basically in the middle of nowehere. Barcelo de gata was just gorgeous . The hotel and rooms are new, modern , clean and very spacious. The buffet breakfast was of good variety , plentiful and catered for english and spanish tastes.
