We stayed here during our round trip in Andalusia and we regret it very much, because they treated us so unfriendly that we wanted to leave immediately. It was terrible! The waitress at breakfast was very rude and unfriendly. Maybe this was because we didn't speak Spanish and we were dress casually and not in suits. And we couldn’t sleep... more

We booked a Superior room with Balcony for 14 nights which we were given. However the sound proofing of the rooms is non existant and the kitchen ventilation is pumped into the roof space. Therefore being on the third floor we got all the cooking smells. However the rooms were cleaned to a high standard and the maids worked long... more

Friendly staff spoke better English than my Spanish. Taxi from Jerez airport 32 euros took about 20/30 mins No charge for safe key Booked room with balcony which overlooked the swimming pool although pool closed during winter a lovely view. Linen/ Towells were changed daily. Enjoyed drinks and food in cafeteria as I travelled with my son we enjoyed egg... more

We were so impressed with this magnificent building when we were booking in for our pre-booked one night stay ,we asked if we could stay for two nights - a bit impulsive perhaps because we hadn't yet seen our bedroom. However, we were not disappointed with our room which overlooked the swimming pool and garden. Except for the sparrows coming... more

We stayed for a week for our honeymoon at the Hotel Monasterio and were very impressed. In spite of the size of the place it felt very peaceful. Our room was a good size with a large, clean, modern bathroom. Our only complaint would be that the airconditioning played up a little but this was fixed as soon as we... more

The hotel is tucked away in a small side street just a stones throw away from the shops and bars. There is an underground carpark with direct access to the hotel. The hotel is a converted monastery and the building is beautiful inside with tall ceilings and a large staircase. There is a pool outside which looked nice but unfortunatly... more

This hotel was very misleading, my partner and I were booked in for two nights at the end of our stay in a lovely hotel in Jerez. We thought we were going to enjoy the stay at the Monastery. After a very difficult time parking the car in the underground car park, we booked in and went to the room, I... more

This is a hotel of two personalities - in mid-Summer (as on a previous visit) it is packed with Spanish families. In October, it is very much a business hotel and anyone not wearing a suit or standing in front of a corporate poster in the lobby can feel a little out of place. Our own plans for a relaxing... more

We stayed in this hotel for one week & whilst it was good value I would only recommend it if you can speak some Spanish. None of the waiters & only one receptionist could speak reasonable English. I know we are in Spain & we should speak Spanish but it was very difficult, even with a phrase book. The small... more

We stayed at Hotel Monasterio San Miguel over the New Years holiday--Dec 31-Jan 3. The hotel provides 5-star ambience at a 4-star price. (Or lower if you come in the off season and book in advance through Expedia, as we did.) Our room, with an elaborate buffet breakfast included, was only US $145 per night, which is a very reasonable... more
