I just got back from a rainy holiday in Spain. Not what you would expect in this area, near Barcelona and Girona. But never the less, it was great! When you first see Besalu you realise you are in a special place, the position of "Mas Pitre" is equal, it has a wonderfull panoramic veiw and peacefull setting. Our reception from Jeanine was very freindly and hospitable, we loved our chat in the morning sunshine at breakfast time overlooking the valley of Besalu, Jeanine made us feel so welcome.... more

We were driving from Barcelona to the French coast and stopped in Besalu on the way. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, go to Mas Pitre.
