My wife and I stayed in the margarit for two nights. Could not find such a convenient location for double the money in Girona. Staff were friendly and helpfull. Plenty of hot water, fresh towels and fresh linen. Arrived early and staff stored my luggage. Breakfast good value. Bed good by spanish standards but pillows dreadful. This hotel is an excellent choice for the budget traveler! You get a good breakfast daily, the front desk person speaks english, there is a tv w/ remote & a phone in the room, and you are just across the street from the river Onyar. The Pension Margarit in Girona is a good choice for the brgain hunter who is not fussy about decor. The paint is peeling and the only mirror is in the bathroom.
