With 3 couples travelling we booked up what we thought were 3 double rooms. When we arrived we were all allocated twin rooms with no view. We were told that there were no doubles available and that if we wanted a front facing room we'd have to ask again thefollowing day. We did and once again there were none availabitle.... more

We obviously struck this place at a bad time. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment and the usual good breakfast was well below standard. We have stayed here before but we do think that it is not one of this chain's best hotels. Refurbishment should not be an excuse for poor service.
