Staying at Locanda di San Martino was great experience. Matera is unique place and this hotel as well (the cave like atmosphere inside rooms, we found it with very romantic). Our room was clean, staff was helpful and breakfast was lovely. For sure it is strongly recommended! more

What they say here about Damiano is SO true. He was helpful from before we booked right until the moment we left! The rest of the staff were lovely too despite our ending up there ar midnight and the poor concirge having to take our car to the parking.
