Spent two nights in this lovely Hotel and would highly recommend a stay here. It's in a great position, in a quiet residential street near the Colosseum. Hotel is spotlessly clean everywhere. Rooms are modern and a good size, beautifully furnished with lots wardrobe space. The bathrooms are also a good size, again lovely and clean. Had a nice view... more

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week cruise in Italy. Before our cruise left port in Civitevecchia (ROME), we spent two nights at Capo d' Africa. Located near the Colloseum, it's a small hotel on a quiet street. You can walk to the Colloseum as well as lots of restaurants and outside cafes. The rooms are lovely... more

Loved everything about this hotel!!! The exterior look of the building, the rooms with high ceilings, the beautiful breakfast terrace and selection of foods, and the wonderful staff. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The location of this hotel is perfecto - you can walk to most of the major Rome attractions. The hotel is also in a reasonably quiet... more

This hotel is not quite as central as some reviews suggest. Yes, it is on the doorstep of the Colloseum, however that's about it. If you want to go anywhere else, allow a 20 to 30 minute walk, or catch a bus (very hot and sweaty) or grab the Metro (about a 5 min walk away, but also baking hot... more

My husband and I stayed here during our first trip to Rome Italy in 2005. Our room was fairly good size for a European standard. The service and staff was excellent! The view on top of the roof top was very memorable, that even now I smile thinking about it. The location was very quiet and tucked away from the... more

After getting screwed by USAir, Capo d'Africa was a welcome end to a horrific 26 hours of travel Staff was super friendly & was eager to help at every turn. Breakfast was great with something for every taste. The cappuccino was especially appreciated. This idea of breakfast with the room needs to catch on here more in the US. Room... more

Hotel was easy to find, reasonably priced and just next to the Colosseum. The staff were friendly and the room nice. Only problem was a totally rubbish aircon. Opened the window all the time and that kept it just about right. Breakfast was superb (no need for lunch after that feast!). Location may not suit some as its a little... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a really good time. The hotel is in a quiet area, but within walking distance to the Coliseum and the Termini metro station. The room was very clean and we were pleased with the size. The staff was not that friendly, we actually didn't interact with them... more

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days in late March. This is a quiet mid sized boutique hotel with character very close tyo the Colosseum. The room we had was newly refurbished with good modern shower. The room was not huge but had space for a sette, small table and chair. The room and hotel was very clean and... more

A lovely modern Hotel – very close to Coliseum and the “Ancient Rome” Area. The streets around the hotel were very quiet – a joy after the noise and bedlam that is normal Rome streets. We had a reasonably sized room at the rear. The room was very clean and well appointed – although only one chair for a double... more
