We chose this hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, where this hotel was described as a good, cheap and clean place to stay in the centre of Rome. The location was very good, a very short walk from the Foro Romano and the Colosseo. The receptionists were also helpful and friendly. The air condition was a big relief, and worked... more

We stayed at the Romano during our first night in Rome. It is a very convenient hotel to get to. Like many, we flew into Fiumacino. From there, we took the express train to Rome's Termini station. We were able to walk from Termini station to the Albergo Romano hotel in about 15 minutes. The hotel is PERFECTLY situated across... more

We stayed at Albergo Romano for 5 nights after a two week tour in Southern Italy/Sicily. The location was fabulous, just a short walk across the street to the Forum and Colliseum. The hotel is not fancy, the rooms are large, and the breakfast was typical continental style at the cafe next door. Our room was quiet and well insulated.... more

We just returned from a week stay at the Hotel Romano. The location is about 2 blocks away from the coluseum and right across the street from Imperial Roman Forum. The rates are very reasonable for this location. It is a typical average European hotel room (maybe a little larger). We had a third floor room with 2 large windows.... more

We stayed at the Romano for several nights on our recent trip to Rome. We found the location to be absolutely perfect! It was literally around the corner from the Colosseum and was within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. The price of the room included morning coffee, juice and a pastry that required a ticket. You'll need to... more

My wife and I came across this place when booking our honeymoon... and it was one of the best choices we made. This hotel was GREAT! The location is perfect, directly across the street from the forum. The hotel rooms were clean, workers were nice. We stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. You will not find... more

We were in Rome for just two nights and wanted to see the main sights. The location is great for tourists as it's right around the corner from the forum and the Colloseum. Nearly everything else is within walking distance. It's not the most charming neighborhood or hotel, but very practical and a good value in this expensive city. The... more

I enjoyed this hotel. As in all of Italy, it was a noisy room. But the hotel is center to all the action! Right across from the Forum, the Coliseum was a block away, and everything else you would want to see is less than an hours walk! We would start out every day thinking it would take us hours... more

The hotel was able to accommodate our family of four in one room for a reasonable price, fitting in two single beds in addition to a double. The rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean and for a tourist, the location is great: the hotel is right across the street from the Forum and around the corner from the Colosseum.... more

Stayed at the Romano for a 1 week vacation in mid-July with my husband. Chose the hotel based on the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, the location, and the price. Based on the reviews we were expecting a clean, basic hotel with exceptional service. I will start with the pros. Yes, the location of the hotel is very good. Around the... more
