We stayed at Casa Franci for 3 nites in July 2008 and enjoyed our stay there very much. We are a couple with a 7-year old boy and the room was a little small for 3 persons but it was an ensuite, which was great and we had our own balcony that overlooked the Vatican. Location was also very convenient... more

What can I say, a nice comfortable place. Considering their rates are much lower than other B&Bs in the area, the rooms were functional and clean. The location is excellent: everything is closeby ! Francesca the host and her friend Cesar are always available to give you a hand and excellent tips on visiting Rome. If we wanted luxuries we... more

First of all let me say that Francesca, the hostess, was great and was more than happy to give help and advice with travel tips and how to avoid those long cues, it was very much appreciated. I booked this b&b on the strength of other reviews on this site and felt a little bit dissapointed with what we found... more

We Stayed for 3 nights. Great place. Easy to find. only 5 mins walk from the Vatican. Franchesca and the guy took great care of us. Franchesca speaks english so she gave us tips how to get around and which places to see. The room is large and clean. The balcony is amazing as you can see the Vatican from... more

We always love to travel in bed and breakfasts, not just because of budget reasons, but because we think having contacts with local people is in an important part of travelling. In Casa Franci we found great hospitality. The Roman visiting tips we were given by Francesca & Cesar we were given without asking. We literally had each of our... more

We are senior US citizens from New York travelling for the first time to Italy. We were on a fairly tight budget and were looking for good value for money place to sleep. We were looking for more attention than a hotel would have given us, and most of all, as we are not great walkers, a central place from... more

We were pleasantly surprised at Casa Franci. The host, Francesca and Cesar were very professional, sporting long experience at the job. They could fulfill promptly all our needs like taxi calls, early rise breakfasts, extra pillows ect. A good extra was free wireless internet. The place is simple but clean and reasonably well upkept. The real bonus is the perfect... more

We arrived late, and the employee who works there in the evenings, Cesar (spelling?), is rude and useless. We rang the bell so many times that one of the guests that was staying there finally answered and found Cesar for us. Then Cesar acted like it was too much effort to let us in since he had to come down... more

Management response from

We do regret for what happened to our guest. However they arrived at nearly 0300am without advance notice and unfortunately Cesar was asleep. It is always advisable to provide advance notice to B&Bs for very late check-ins. As for the air conditioning, we CLEARLY advertise it is extra, over and above the room rate which at 140U$ makes it one...

We are an English couple living in the South France and decided to visit Rome on a 3-day trip. Casa Franci B&B choice could not have been a wiser one. We especially like the hosts who went out of their way to help us in all we needed; tips tricks....and we loved the way we could visit the Vatican Museums... more
