My room was quiet, very clean and comfortable. Great bath and nicely designed bathroom. Newly renovated in very good taste. Bed was comfortable and the linens were high quality. Breakfast was excellent, too. Staff is really helpful and pointed me to a few of restaurants where the locals eat - that was fun. I would definitely go back here. more

Staying in Trastavere while in Rome was a treat we hadn't anticpated. I had tried to get into the Hotel Santa Maria without success. I then found out that they had a small hotel nearby. The Residenza Santa Maria was opened in 2007 so is very new inside although an historic building. They have six charming rooms - simply but very nicely furnished.
