For the price of this hotel I was rather disappointed. The reception is bright and modern, the staff friendly and helpful but the rooms were a real let down. Lots of black furniture and grey curtains and carpets, reminded me a lot of the 80s. I just thought the overall impression of the hotel room was dark and miserable. The... more

Convenient location near the railway station. Not a terrible neighbourhood tought. As safe as a any other large european town, so one needs to be carefull but it is possible to go for a walk at night. We didn't have a car but we think parking might be a problem. Staff OK. Good breakfast. Rooms dated (trying to look 50's,... more

We booked through an agent who charges us 38GBP per night. Not bad for a 4 star. We were initally shocked on the decor. The place was mainiy painted in 'Loud' red. Even the kettle and table lamp matched. In a way it looks quite sleazy was my first reaction. Probably great for honey mooners! but not for family taste. Apart from... more

My husband and I spent 1 night at the Ramada in Genova, Italy last July (2005) as a last minute change to our plans due to the Italian rail strike. We were able to book the room using Expedia in Ventimiglia that morning for $100. The room looked like it came straight from the 80s with the black and white... more

The room I booked was the cheapest available in Genoa for the night I stayed. I was amazed to find it was actually an apartment with two floors. It was immaculate and clean. The evening meal was great and well priced in a very trendy restaurant, the buffet breakfast was vast and comprised of everything you could think of. The... more

We were in Genoa for a conference and having traded notes with our fellow conferees we've decided that relatively speaking this hotel was among the best available in Genoa as of September 2005. The hotel is quite close to the rail station and in as nice a neighborhood as seems to be available. The first room we were offered was... more

All in all, our stay at the Ramada was extremely pleasant and enjoyable. The only drawback was that the room was a bit smaller than what I expected. I agree with one of the previous reviewers that the area seemed a bit seedy but we didn't have any problems, and the proximity of the hotel to the train station really... more

This hotel is advertised as a 4 star, but as often in Europe, it was really about a 3 star. Nevertheless we found it clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The bed in our room on the third floor was very comfortable. Our window was double-glazed which helped keep street traffic noise down. The hotel is only 200 metres... more

The Hotel Brittania is a delightful 4 star, directly across the road from Stazione Principe and central to almost everything. It has happy, helpful and friendly staff. My room (which was upgraded at no extra charge on request) was smart black & white, spotless and with 1st class amenities. Breakfast was another surprise - huge hot & cold buffet. I... more

Great location to all amenities, although whole road and pavements being repaved, will give whole area facelift-but noisy for us! Rooms spacious and black and white stylish theme. Hotel staff friendly and helpful - International Boat Fayre was held on our weekend so very busy. Restaurant in Hotel not open for evening meals at weekend - Hotel recommended excellent restaurant... more
