We stayed here with friends again this year and our second visit was just as good as our first. Our room was very grand and spacious, with 2 balconies overlooking the square, a fantastic painted ceiling and terrazzo floor. The bed was super-king size and very comfortable, the ensuite has a shower. Breakfast is also good and served in the... more

We visit Venice twice a year and have always stayed at Hotel Palazzo Vitturi because we know it is always going to be good. Moderately priced for Venice with standard and superior rooms, the latter with balcony views overlooking one of the largest and prettiest squares - Campo S. Maria Formosa. The square is ideally situated for a short walk... more

We booked this unseen through Easyjet.com last October. We thought it looked lovely and it was! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and European. We walked everywhere (apart from when we were on a boat of some description). Five minutes from St Mark's, 5 minutes or so from the Rialto, good trattorias very close by.... more

Good location. We had a lovely suite with balcony overlooking a delightful square and canal (rate was good value for Venice).Very pleasant and helpful staff.Location for all of the sights excellent (genuine 5 mins from Saint Marks Square!) Good value local restaurants within hopping distance. And finally to complete our break: an Irish Bar within 3 minutes where I watched... more

The hotel is superbly located to the major sites but is in a quiet square. The building has such character and history and yet is equipped with modern facilities. The service was very friendly. The cost was very reasonable. Continental breakfast gets boring but that's my problem. The hotel provided adequate quantity of decent quality more

I've been to Venice many times and this is the best, budget/ave priced hotel I've found in the city. The location is perfect, the building is beautiful; the Venetian gothic palazzo having been sympathetically restored and refurbished, with what must be THE most reserved decor in Venice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, but the best thing about this... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in mid November. It is situated in a square that is half way between St Marks and the Rialto Bridge. The room we had was spacious, well appointed and clean. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The breakfast was not as comprehensive as in some hotels I have stayed in... more

We booked to stay at the Pallazzo Vitturi hotel for two days in September on our Europe holiday.Unfortunately i got quite ill at Cannes and could not make the drive to Venice. We rang the hotel 6 days prior to our booking but the manager informed us that we were past the cancellation time therefore would be charged one night.... more

Management response from
Vitturi, general manager

First of all, it is not nice to discredit a Manager and the Hotel that he rapresents only because you have made a late cancellation and you had to pay for the penality that you were aware about. I would like also to inform the readers that what you are saying is not correct. You have called 5 days prior...

The Palazzo Vitturi was a wonderful respite from the tourist throngs, yet was very close to all we wanted to see. The proprietors were extremely nice and couldn't have been more helpful regarding restaurant recommendations, train-ticket bookings and directions. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. Breakfast was simple but filling and good. We didn't see much of... more

Wonderfully located - in a large open square (rather than up some grubby alley!) and 10/15 minutes from St Mark's and the Rialto Bridge. Being off the main tourist route means the square is busy but not overcrowded. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a superior room which was excellent - spacious and with good but quiet air-con.... more
