We had a very clean charming suite (room 206) with frescoes on the wall, but there wasn't much place to keep our clothes. The bathroom was very pretty, but it didn't have a shower, so I flooded it when trying to wash my hair. There wasn't any hook to hang the towels either. Our son and daughter-in-law were there too,... more

We stayed at the Gabbia D'Oro for one night only but the Hotel is exquisite! The room was delightful and so quiet for a central hotel. The staff were the friendliest I have come across and helped us find the best restaurant ever! Breakfast was superb and the dining room so beautiful. Highly recommended!!!!! Will definately stay again when visiting... more

The hotel is really a beautiful thing—you feel as if you have gone back into a different era with beautiful surroundings, antiques everywhere, a fantastic location steps away from the Piazza Erbe (the center of Verona) and a staff that is incredibly helpful and delightful. The hotel feels elegant, and while the rooms are on the small side by US... more

We stayed at the Gabbia D'Oro in early May. The hotel itself is perfectly located and the rooms are quiet - despite the constant bustling nightlife on the Piazza. The staff led us to several excellent restaurants and the two parrots in the solarium are adorable. Although the lobby, downstairs area and breakfast room are very pretty and well appointed,... more

We spent 4 nights in January 07. Location on the Piazza del Erbe, right in the middle of most of the sightseeing. Staff is very helpful, charming bar area and the feel of a European hotel. Will give a high recommendation and would certainly stay there again. more

As our stay was several years ago, my review may be out of date. However, current comments indicate it is not. We so fell in love with Verona and the hotel that we abandoned our plans to go on to Venice. Our room was small but exquisite -- every detail was in order. The breakfast was one of the best... more

This is a lovely hotel. Great Location, lovely rooms and very quiet, despite being on a busy street. The breakfast was a buffet with everything you need. There are comfotable lounges to have coffee and drinks. There's also a whirl pool, which, unfortunately, I did not see. It was our anniversary and we were delighted to recieve a couple of... more

This is possibly the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is perfect - right in the centre of Verona - the staff were delightful - relaxed, attentive and helpful, even noting from our passports that it was our birthdays and sending complimentary champagne and nibbles to our room. And our room was magic. We had a small... more

Stayed at this boutique hotel twice now and going back this summer. Great location, atmosphere & service. Beautiful characterful rooms. No restaurant (breakfast only) but this is no hardship in Verona. A bit pricey so think about staying here as a treat for a short break more
