The Borghese Palace Hotel was a clean, quiet hotel in a great location. This hotel is within walking distance to the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Galleria dell'Accademia, Galleria degli Uffizi and the downtown shopping Area. There were many good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was not as friendly or helpful, and the breakfast was limited. more

My family of four stayed in the junior suite for three nights. The room was quite large and it worked out ok. I agree that the shower is very tiny for such a new hotel and there was hardly any room for putting your amenities around. The staff was nice . The location great .The breakfast ok. The elevator was... more

As with all Italian buildings, this has no external beauty. Once inside things change. Nice foyer/lobby, interesting lift in the central of what would have been the courtyard. This is listed as a boutique hotel, which is small but extremely pleasant. Staff excellent, friendly and helpful. Location excellent, very close to the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Bargello and Uzziffi. The rooms... more

We had the pleasure of staying at the Borghese from Nov 1st thru Nov 5th of 2007. the weeks leading to our departure back to italy i was in close contact with the front desk of the Borghese making sure everything was set as this was going to be a special trip with my mother making her first european venture.... more

This hotel is perfectly situated in florence. its a stones throw away from everything yet in a quiet street. The hotel itself is very arty obviously, with scuptures and painting every where. the rooms are small but very very smart. The lift is glass so its pretty cool. The breakfast was average. make sure you make time to use the... more

We enjoyed our stay. It's very convenient to the River and other monuments. It was very clean, and Uniquely designed. The staff was very helpful, but not very friendly. The room smelled like smoke, but I'm not sure if there is a no smoking section. The beds were comfortable, and lots of towels were provided. A wonderful spa downstairs, and... more

We stayed at the Borghese Palace for 3 nights and it was a beautiful old 18th century palace converted to a hotel with artwork and sculptures in the lobby. A mixture of traditonal and contemporary well done in the decor. The rooms were small but new and contemporary. The winding stairs were nice as well as the rooftop romantic sitting... more

This is a great place to stay in Florence. Its is very central, just a two minute walk from the Duomo. It is modern and very well designed, especially given it is not expensive to stay there. There is a nice bar where you can have a cocktail before you go out, and the staff were excellent. Surprised it is... more

This hotel was in a fabulous location for all the sites in Florence. The room we had was small but when you only need to sleep there it was more than adequate. The bathroom was fine and the shower was bigger than the hotel we stayed in during our next port of call in Rome. The secret of this hotel... more

I stayed two weeks at this hotel, end of August until September 2007. The location is excellent; close to the centre (the Duomo is 200 m away). The hotel itself probably warrants its 4 stars, even though it still has a few teething problems. For example, the showerhead in my room needed cleaning (the spray was uneven) and the terrasse... more
