So, I went on vacation to Europe as a school band field trip and was having a great time until my stay at this hotel. Because I am from America, I used a calling card to call relatives back home. I know that some calling cards charge the individual rooms, so I checked with the front desk before I used... more

Beautiful room but could use a mattress "makeover". Street side room was very noisy from outside. Staff was responsive and friendly. The piazza on which it is located is under construction and limits the beauty. Woould stay there again. more

Came here with my mother, we had a wonderful time! It was centrally located and we could walk to just about everything. The staff was friendly and helpful in directions and arranging tours for us. The breakfast was very good. It is right on the square which has a lot of traffic and activity into late at night, but we... more

Hotel Roma is a very poor hotel. I don’t know how it got a 4 star rating with Hotels.com, but it is no such thing. I would rate Hotel Roma a one star, and that is being generous. We spent 3 nights during a very warm week in Oct. I estimate the room temperature at about 90* or more at... more

I really liked this hotel, the room was lovely, dark wood, stone steps, very comfortable, bathroom spotless. The convenience of its location to the train station was great, there is a pub near the entry to the hotel but depending on the time of day, the activity there did not seem to be a problem. Try to get a room... more

Hotel is across the train station in Florence, cross a 4ln rd and a plaza to get there could be a challenge w/ luggage plus beware of unsavory characters all around. The hotel has been renovated really nicely, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous offered to keep bags and direct us to food source right away. The breakfast was... more

Booked this hotel through American Airlines. Didn't know until I read a guide book that the park in front of the hotel has problems with drug dealers at night. (Too late to change hotels.) There was a large police presence there though which made us feel somewhat better. (Two women travelling alone.) They gave us a smoking room at first... more

Had to stay in this hotel for one night due to lack of water in our original hotel. The hotel was clean & tidy and I cannot complain about the room as it was big and comfortable. However, as our room overlooked the main Santa Maria Novella piazza, it was very noisy for most of the night. It is a... more

We were moved to this hotel because the Santa Maria Novella "had a problem with the computer" on the day we arrived at Florence (despite confirming by email that everythin is in order 1 week beforehand). The Roma hotel is very dated, extremely dark in the room (as window is 1 m from a brick wall) and the beds are... more

We had a reservation through our travel agency and when we arrived they put us in a room which on the floor map was named "service area" and whose its original function was not that of a room. It was actually a dark corridor with a window looking inside the hotel, divided into 2 parts with two beds along this... more
