Just returned from Italy with a 5 night stop at Jolly Hotel Siena. Well-situated within walled area. Room and bathroom very clean, quiet, with excellent amentities. Reception was polite and helpful. Breakfast very good, hot as well as cold food items. Used Cor Magis tour guide, Diego, who speaks excellent English and is very knowledgable. Found Trattoria Papei, located behind... more
The Jolly Hotel in Siena was right across from the bus terminal and a short walk to Il Campo. The room we were in had a noisy air conditioner which no one was able to shut off. So we were given a new room. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a wide variety... more
We stayed in this hotel for a night in Siena while we were touring around Italy. They gave us a 5th floor room to the front of the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the staff were friendly but not over friendly. The room was very comfortable, they gave a great selection of toiletries including a brush, comb, shoe polish... more
After ready mixed reviews I wasnt sure about this one but I really liked it. It was very clean and modern, it is a business hotel so it dosent have the charm of some of the other hotels but this wasnt a problem. Rooms were lovely and modern. Great air conditioning. Its really close to everything. We picked up a... more
Arriving late in Siena without a hotel reservation saw the sign and went for it. Turned out to be in a great location inside the walls- cross the street to the core of the old city - and the weekly market under our window on the last day. Initially planned to stay overnight and look for something better - but... more
I spent my last day in Siena in this modern business hotel. I was supposed to depart for Massa Marittima on a sunday but there were no buses going into that town until monday. I checked out my previous hotel before I got to the bus station. Without much hesitation, I checked into Jolly Hotel Siena which was located right... more
We stayed at the Jolly for two nights, on a whim to visit Sienna. I can describe this hotel as being similar to a W hotel in the states -- the decor is modern and tasteful, bathrooms fantastic for those of us spoiled Americans who like our showers to stay within the confines of the tub and not all over... more
we visited Siena, Italy in January, 2007. We had a great time there. We stayed at the Jolly Hotel, located across from the bus and train terminal. The atmosphere is marvelous, everyone is very friendly, and the food and wine are delicious. Must sees: The Duomo; the Piazza De Campo; the bell tower; the winding and interesting streets. more
We stayed at this hotel, which was generally nice and located close enough at the end of the little streets in the center to be rather convenient. However, we had a very big problem- the room had bedbugs! For those of you who have never seen these, they are little long brown bugs on the beds that will prick while... more
