The view at hotel cabana is simply stunning. We were staying at the hotel with a view of the white silky slope. It is an enjoyment just to see the train go up the mountains. TO top it off... the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful too. more

We stayed 3 nights including Christmas eve and Christmas day at Hotel Cabana. We enjoyed the apartment we booked: with its gorgeous view on Mt.Eiger, 2 bedrooms and a convenient kitchen corner (total space of 70m2), it was a comfortable home away from home for our family of 5 to spend the holidays. The Bohren's are very warm and helpful... more
Having stayed at this hotel I would recommend it to others as a very peaceful non smoking acommodation option. We stayed four nights and had a lovely stay. Good breakfast, helpful hosts, excellent location with lovely views and very peaceful. We loved hearing the cow bells. Good location also for commencing walks in many directions- recommended. more
We stayed in Hotel Cabana for 2 nights in August 2007. It is a small hotel run by the Bohren family who personally attend to every guest. It is a cute wooden chalet, more like a house, like the most in Alps. We had a room with the famous Eiger and valley view. The hotel is at short walking distance... more
We spent 3 very short days at this wonderful place, and it was fantastic. The staff are all extremely helpful, and even let my daughter plug in her MP3 player to charge in one of the computers! The internet access let me catch up on news from the kids at home. Lovely rooms, we had a room with a kitchenette... more
My husband and I have stayed here every time we visit Switzerland - it is a very charming, comfortable hotel with all the amenities that one could hope for, and then some. We travel through Europe extensvely, and this hotel offers one of the most comfortable room settings with the most gorgeous, relaxing view of the mountains and the village... more
Just returned from 2 nights at this hotel on a week-long trip through central Switzerland. Hotel is listed as 3 star but it is much nicer than any other 3 star hotel I have stayed at! Rooms are very clean and spacious, bright colors, and new furniture. Not to mention the view from the patio/balcony! Breakfast buffet is adequate. Staff... more
My wife and I have just returned from a fantastic weekend at the Hotel Cabana in Grindelwald. Our criteria was to find a family-run chalet, with traditional swiss charm that offered a great location without breaking the bank. What we got with the Cabana far exceeded our expectations! The view was, quite simply, stunning. In all my years of travelling... more
This is the 3rd time I stay at Hotel Garni Cabana in the wonderful Grindelwald. It is a very quiet location with magnificent panorama. Located only 5 minutes walk from village center and shops. The rooms are very comfortable, extremely clean, big balconies, minibar, Cable TV and nice tube bathroom. The buffet breakfast is excellent for all tastes. Mrs. Bettina... more
Staff was very friendly and helpful, cheerfully warm and welcoming. The south facing rooms have a superb view. Our double room was spacious and clean. Only negative is that it’s located on one of the main roads leading into town and the road can become a little busy during the high season. The big positive is that the hotel has... more
