I was mixing business with pleasure and arrived with my two young children. The room was a haven and even with the extra bed in it still felt spacious enough. The Hotel Victoria is an ideal place to stay in Meiringen. Literally one minute from the Rail/Postbus station (but no problem with noise etc!). It is set in a quiet location near the town centre, with the tourist information centre just around the corner and all the other facilities/amenities within easy walking distance. We visited Meiringen in July 2006 for the sole purpose of hiking in the area. We booked the Hotel Victoria directly through the Internet and signed up for the seven day hiking package which included breakfast, a packed lunch and dinner each day. Last year we went to Switserland for a short trip. We stayed in three hotels in Crans Montana, Meiringen and Zürich. We stayed in hotel Victoria in Meiringen for three nights. The hotel is very nicely decorated. Our room was beautiful. We liked the modern design very much. The bathroom was also nice. The room was a bit small though... more
