Chambres en Ville is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel, its owner Philippe Guilmin is an artist who has decorated the former mirror factory in calming hues with antique furnishings and objects of art including a collection of African sculptures and figurines throughout the property intermingled with his own modern paintings which hang on the walls. Set in an African neighborhood in a quite central location, this b&b is quite charming as the artist owner has quirky tastes. We had a huge room with two comfortable single beds and a super huge bathroom with wonderful tub and separate shower area. This B&B was not only beautiful, but the owner, Phillipe, was extremely sweet. It was so nice to stay in an old house, in a central neighborhood. The rooms/bathrooms were well appointed and relaxing. Phillipe's breakfast was just right - good coffee, pastries, and homemade jams. more
