Near metro and buses. Many attractions were within a 25 min. walking distance. Our room away from the street was quiet and had a nice view of the city. The staff spoke fairly good English and were helpful. Our biggest complaint would be that the bed and pillows were hard. more

We stayed at the Diplomatico in Lisbon in September 2007. We got two rooms for which we paid $76 Euro each. The rooms are very adequate, spacious, and clean. I don't believe this hotel has been, or ever was, diplomat or VIP worthy. It is in desparate need of a make over or modernization inside. For instance, the elevators do not have doors that close once your inside, so you can touch the floors you are passing by as you ascend (quite dangerous). The saving grace of the hotel... more

We booked the reservation via sunhotels.net and it seemed to be a very nice price considering it had 4 stars. After the visit I would rather say it's a 3 star hotel.
