The hotel is nice enough, but it's not five star standard. They call themselves a "five star hotel", but they're not. This is a standard Marriott hotel, in a not so nice part of Athens. The nearest underground station is the Syngrou Fix station, which is a 20 minutes walk along a highway that is not designed for walking. The... more

We stayed in this hotel for two nights on our trip to Athens. Overall we were impressed with the quality of the hotel, although the euro-dollar exchange rate makes it painful for American travelers. Here is a quick list of pros and cons: Pros: -Nice rooms with lots of space, very friendly staff -10 minute ride on free shuttle bus... more

The hotel is located on one side of the main Andrea Syngrou highway into town. There’s a shuttle bus every hour at 15 minutes past, but be sure to get there early. And make sure you check with reception as to the return times – our driver insisted there was a 3.30pm pick-up from town on a Saturday, when in... more

Location: Outside of the center of Athens. Close to a metro station, but closer to the tram stop which brings you to the center of Athens, near the parliment. The hotel does provide a free shuttle bus to the center, but it runs only once per hour. There is a shopping/cinema close by the hotel. Very close to the Intercontinental... more

No better view of the Acropolis than from the rooftop pool. The food at the restaurant is also good. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and spotless. We stayed at the Hilton before our Aegean cruise and disliked it. The rooms were very small and the prices were outrageous. On our return we luckily had made a reservation at the Marriott.... more

The Marriott Hotel is not too far from the main areas of central Athens, my wife and son would walk every morning to the sites and the city. If you can get a room at the back of the hotel you will not get the noise from the highway that runs past the hotel. We did have a view of... more

We stayed at the Marriott Ledra for a few days before going on to Mykonos and then 1 day after we got back from Mykonos. The hotel checked the luggage we did not need for the 5 days that we were in Mykonos, which was awesome!! They were super professional and the concierge is extremely knowledgeable. Also, the beds are... more

This hotel would be perfect, if it had a better location. In saying that, the location isn't that bad, but it isn't convenient either. Overall, the hotel is superb. The hotel staff are all great, with courtesy being shown from the friendly and humble bell hops, to the polite telephone operator, right through to the professional reception staff. Credit also... more

My last stay in this hotel was a few days ago. My room was in the 4th floor (executive floor). It is a 5-star hotel with good amenities, as well as with 2 nice restaurants. Especially, The Polynesian restaurant Kona Kai is an oasis on underground floor. Wonderful ! There is also another restaurant on top floor, around the swimming... more
