Spent 4 nights in May with my wife in the Airotel Alexandros and I can really say it is a great hotel. Close to many of the sights and very close to the metro and other transports. If you ended up in this hotel, either you were desperate or your friend or assistant doesn't like you. The only OK floor is the 5th floor, which is the non-smoking one. You can tell it has been recently refurbished and the smells (of cigarette an others) you find in other rooms/floors at least on the rooms on this floor... more

We booked the hotel via a web based sevice. When we arrived at the Hotel we were pleased to find that it was a very very decent property. It is not luxurious not pretentious but rooms are clean and there was no detectable smell in my room. Staff was friendly. Breakfast food was not great but it is minor issue.... more

The hotel was booked through the conference that I was attending. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room, as it was about the same size as a regular room in most US hotels. The hotel was not close to the sites, but if you don’t mind taking the metro (or taxi) it’s not bad. It was about a five minute walk to the Megaro Moussikis Metro Station. The lobby, bar, and restaurant were clean and nice. The restaurant had decent prices and food. My only problem with the restaurant was the first time... more

We were very happy with the Hotel Alexandros. The front desk people were very friendly. The room was large by European standards and quite clean. There aren't any sit down restaurants close, but there are some about three blocks away. The metro was about an eight minute walk and can take you anywhere you need to go. more

The room itself was large for European standards and was very clean. We were on the top floor with a nice size balcony and a lovely view of Lycabettus Hill. There as pleny of closet space and a safe. The bathroom was a good size, very clean however the shower head faced the curtain so it was difficult to use.... more

This hotel was located close to the metro and bus stations thus making getting around very easy. 24 hours is the perfect amount of time in Athens. I would definitely spend more time on the Greek islands. more
