We stayed four nights in June and found it an enjoyable experience. This is not the place for someone looking for a large, corporate type hotel but if your preference is for a cozy beautique style acomodation it should please you. The location is good, just two bus stops (or a ten minute walk) from City Hall Square and Tivoli... more

Stayed in this hotel the first week of July. The hotel does not seem to be a very good choice during the high season. The breakfast is served in the reception and this reception is not very big. The result was an overcrowded reception and you had to stand in line and wait for a table. When you finally got... more

We stayed there during a weekend in July and boy was it crowded. We couldn't even get in to eat breakfast at 9.30 AM on the Saturday. The room was very cosy and with space left over for two people. I especially loved the big windowsill where you could sit comfortably and drink. The minibar was filled with local beer,... more

The entrance to the hotel is down a shabby passage, and one's heart sinks. Once inside you take the lift to the first floor, and are greeted by helpful staff, in an old building which has been sympathetically updated. The defining characteristic of this hotel seems to be friendly, enthusiastic, helpful staff. Though sometimes a little amateurish - drink and... more

Friendly staff, clean and modern room and a very good breakfast. Bit of a walk to the station but not too bad, it feels like a residential area but the city centre is walkable. more

OK, its Copenhagen, its expensive everywhere at expect to pay 1300 DKK for any 3/4 star hotel. Now thats over this cost 1300 DKK and was excellent. If you want a corporate hotel it is not for you, if you want a personal hotel with extra thought from people who really care this is for you! small but lovely rooms,... more

I stayed here for one night and my experience was generally good. The hotel's arranged over two buildings, with the reception on the first floor of what appears to be an old townhouse. It's a bit complicated getting to your room as there are codes and doorbells all over the place but once I found my room in the rear... more

Had a great stay here for three nights late February . A very unassuming and 'back street' entrance to the hotel which did not give a very good first impression. However, the staff were very considerate and helpful. We had a room in the annexe on the top floor - use the lift as the stairs are very narrow and... more

The hotel was extremely noisy, our room was located at the back of the hotel (in a kind of out building). After a busy day we were woken to the noise of people coming home between 12:30am and 3am. People were shouting in the hall ways - one person kept knocking on our door and even tried to get in... more

Planning a surprise weekend trip for my boyfriend, I spent a lot of time online searching for a good hotel. After having read all the great reviews about Carlton Guldsmeden I decided to book a weekend. And I'm very glad I did! The hotel was everything I could ever have hoped for and more. The staff at the reception desk... more
