Spent three nights here during the long summer month of June. Rooms were fine, as we didn't stay there often. Although the location was a little far from the city center, it was close to several attractions we visited. The food was enjoyable and different, and the wait staff, and the bartender at night, were pleasant. The desk staff were... more

Hotel Reykjavik is a clean hotel that was a 15-20 minute walk from the city center. It can seem like a very long walk especially when it is bitterly cold outside. The breakfast was OK but not very filling. Some staff members were helpful while others were kind of rude. The bathroom in one room was wonderful while the other... more

In general, hotels in Iceland are not the same as a typical hotel in the US. Thus my review is based on a typical hotel for Iceland (I had a chance to stay in another hotel before). This is a good and very clean hotel. We booked "3 beds room", but got a double bed with roll-away bed instead. The... more

Top Hotel Reykjavik was the right hotel in the right place. 15 mins easy walk from the heart of town. The staff could not have been more helpful. All spoke excellent English, and answered any queries happily. They helped organize all our tours and gave advice on the best ones to choose. Our room was spacious, clean, and always at... more

I stayed 5 nights in this hotel and was happy enough with it. The hotel is located just around the corner from the main shopping street Laugavegur. It is about a 20 minute walk to Austurvollur Square where the cathedral and parliament is located. The area surronding the hotel is quiet and safe like most of Reykjavik. The bus station... more

Stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms are a nice size they have everything that you need. The location is great, the main shopping street is just at the end of the road. The bus stop outside will take you the Kringlan shopping centre. Well worth a visit. more

The Hotel Reykjavik is perfectly located: walking distance to the action of downtown Reykjavik, yet far enough for the smashing beer bottles not to wake you up, as you snooze your way to sleep after a full night of daylight partying. The few hours of sleep, we did get were on comfy beds. The staff at the hotel was very... more

I just returned from a three nite stay in Reykjavik. Top Hotel Rekjavik is one of two in the city. This one is near the Central Bus station, about 15 - 20 minutes away from the center of town. The staff is marvelous! They are helpful and knowledgable. Take their suggestions for tours and restaurants! They also will book reservations... more

Stayed for 2 nights with family of 4 for 250 euros per nite. Accomodations OK, but really not much better than a standard Holiday Inn. Be prepared for the sulfur smell in bathrooms due to the geothermal heating of the hot water. more

We had never been to Iceland before and did not know what to expect. I had searched the internet and compared several hotels. We choose the Hotel Reykjavik. It had a good rate, was in a central loaction, able to walk around town. The parking was inside and secure. Each morning breakfast was prepared hot, average for breakfast. The first... more
