Stayed at this hotel with the family for 6 nights in August. Hotel is in a quiet area but only 5 minutes walk from shopping and bars. Rooms and bathrooms aren't huge but are pefectly ok. Hotel is clean, beds are comfortable and breakfast is fine. Breakfast is buffet with fresh fruit, pastries, meat, fish, eggs, cereals etc. we had... more

We had a room on the top floor. The room was well furnished and the bathroom was not large but big enough. There was a balcony around two sides of the room. It was nice to be able to look out from the balcony over the city in the fresh air. The hotel is in a quiet residential area, but... more

We stayed at the Odinsve and the hotel staff could not have been more helpful or efficient. Everything was seen to straight away with a smile. As for the previous review moaning about the haunted room, well we stayed in that room for 4 nights and there was no problem, believe me!! The lovely girl on the desk had never... more

We spent four nights here at the end of a cruise. The guidebooks are high on the hotel, but apparently the people who wrote that stuff never stayed here. The location is good, the staff was nice, and the neighborhood is quieter and more pleasant than some other places where hotels are located. But the room was very small and... more

Close to the shopping area but not right in it. The room we had faced the street with 2 big windows. The room itself was extremely small and ok for 1 night. The lock on our door was very hard to unlock and lock from the hallway - it just spun and spun. The room was clean. I really didn't... more

Traveled with a friend from work over the Memorial Day Weekend (UK Bank Holiday) 2008 and stayed 5 days/nights at the Hotel Odinsve. The hotel is located a block from Reykjaviks main shopping street so we were able to walk to everything. The room was nice, very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the feather pillows and down comforters... more

The staff at this hotel were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, they called up the tour companies to book us on trips, even the ones that were not the one they were booking agents for, they even called up to see where the pick up was when it was late, without us even asking them to. The hotel is... more

I chose this hotel due to its popularity but I really don't understand why this place is so popular. We were initially given a room on the first floor. The atomosphere outside room was so eerie and when we opened the door, there was somewhat moldy smell. The decor was horrible especially strange green wall and room was so dark... more

Having arrived in the worst storm for 50 years, we eventually arrived at the Odinsve at midnight to discover it was being refurbed. However the weekend reception staff were fantastic and gave my daughter and myself singles instead of the the twin we had booked. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable, although a little small. The hotel management made... more

We stayed at the Odinsve for a few days before Thanksgiving and found it it be a very nice hotel. While the basic room and bathroom are quite small, they are very clean, quiet and adquate. On a longer stay, I might look into some larger rooms but for a quick trip this one was fine. The breakfasts were also... more
