We arrived from the new Hurtigruten Terminal. It was very close. Walking distance if only light luggage, Unfortunately, too much luggage necesssitated a taxi. Friendly staff at check in. Lobby was HUGE, lovely comfortable armchairs around a big glassed in fire. Bar with lots of stools, Free wifi set up - two spots. A short walk to an elevator. Our... more

I am not normally a difficult customer to please, and I have travelled a lot. This is one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in a long time. It all started when I opened the door. Crisps and broken glass made it very visible that the vacuum cleaner had not been in use. A strange smell, turned out... more

We stayed at this hotel in December and were a little apprehensive after reading some reviews here. However, we had no reason to worry as the hotel was fabulous. It was modern, clean, and the staff could not have been friendlier. Breakfast was the standard fare, and the bar, with it's open fire, was a cosy refuge from the cold... more

I was a bit nervous about staying here after reading the less-than-glowing reviews on Tripadvisor, but those worries were entirely unfounded! We ended up in a lovely double room in the newer building. The room, although small, was well appointed. The shower & toilet were awesome, with underfloor heating, and a high-powered shower. Although there weren't any individual toilettries to... more

This hotel is in a good location. However it is housed in three buildings and the one we were put in left a lot to be desired. I think it was the oldest of the three, despite us booking the two rooms months in advance. The building was across the street from the real hotel and just wasn't very cheerful.... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, for about £40/night, and were very impressed. It's an expensive part of the world and we were not expecting to be impressed. The location is fairly central: no more than a 10-minute walk from the mainb harbour with the fish market (great to visit) and the Bryggen timbered houses. We were... more

This hotel left a lot to be desired. First, the positive: it was a pretty close walk to the downtown area. The breakfast buffet was very good. Unfortunately, it stops there. My room was dirty, with large stains on the bedspreads, cracked wooden door and evidence of leaking through the ceiling. It was also very noisy. There was a lot... more

Staff was nice but the facility and accomodatio is really old. We paid over $100 per night but it was not worth it!!! The room was dark. The bathrooms didn't even have hotel toiletries available. Shampoo and shower gel were pump units off the wall. I would not walk on the carpet without my slippers. Full size bed was 2... more

The hotel was nice enough. The rooms were nice and tidy and the bathrooms were modern with underfloor heating. However, i found the rooms noisy from people out on the street coming out of the cinema. It was also noisy because of workmen on the ground flooor drilling away, starting at some stupid time in the morning, however it did... more

Although the hotel is part of the Hilton chain dont expect the usual Hilton standards. This is a 3* hotel but is priced accordingly. First impressions were good. The staff were friendly and helpful the room was reasonably large, very clean and newly refurbished. The location is great - not quite central but in easy walking distance of everything. The... more
