Skuteviken Guesthouse is located in a residential area of Bergen which dates back to the 1600s and is known for its traditional wooden buildings. The buildings in the area have evolved through several centuries with small wooden houses who adapt to the terrain and the narrow cobbled streets. Everything was perfect, the rooms are immaculately laid out and each is uniquely decorated. You get satellite TV too, free internet, and the owners even stayed up to meet us at 12am local time to allow us to check in (as they stay in a different property), waiting out by the main street to meet us in our cab! more

This was a great place to stay - a lovely little street, but very convenient for the bus (with those heavy bags!), and an easy walk through the park to the town. The owners are very friendly, and will help you out as best they can. The rooms were really good - each has a different character, and is decked... more

Our first stop on our Norwegian tour was quite a success! The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It was a quick walk into town and after a day of sightseeing I was able to fall quickly asleep in this quiet and relaxing environment! Thanks for a wonderful welcome to Norway! more

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights and loved this guesthouse. It is well-situated a short walk from the centre and easy to find. Its best feature has to be the stylish way the rooms are decorated - very modern, clean and the heated floors in the bathrooms are a bonus! The owners were really helpful - even giving... more

Skutevikens Guesthouse is a true haven by the harbour in Bergen. We began our three week holiday in Norway with a two-night stay here, and could not have wished for a better place to begin our family’s adventure. On the outside the Skuteviken Guesthouse is pretty and beguiling – its charmingly historic white wooden façade peeking out from a quaint... more

We found the Skuteviken Guesthouse as an absolute fluke (we only wish the other review had been up on TripAdvisor at the time!) after having a not-so-easy time finding a spot to stay in Bergen. Everything was expensive and corporate and not what we were looking for. But then we found this amazing guesthouse! The communication for the booking was... more

Exquisite small guest house located in a charming historic area of old wooden houses, within easy walking distance of the Hansa Quarter (Bryggen). The building is a traditional Norwegian wooden house, which has been newly remodeled in modern Scandinavian style. Our room had a well equipped small kitchen, as well as a separate bed room. The staff were very friendly... more
