This is a very old fashioned hotel, with quite a "working mens club" type of bar. The staff were nice - the food was great and the room was ok. I can't really imagine why anyone would be staying in the centre of Luton, other for work, but if you need to then I would say it's a good place... more

Stayed at the Leaside for 2 nights in September with my girlfriend and had a fabulous time. The hospitality was first class and the accommodation and food was excellent. Great atmosphere in the bar :) Many thanks to Paul and all his staff for making it a very relaxing freindly stay. Graham more

bar food and breakfast really good..... Staff sortof friendly - owner looked straight through me..... no towels in room........ error on bill, took 20 mins to sort when I needed to go to work, and no apology... Recently stayed for a few days because of attending a course. The rooms were warm but did have R/C air conditioning. Nice comfy beds. The food in the bar was excellent and would recommend the duck and spring onion pizza. The breakfast was ok but some collegues did have to wait a good while for theirs one morning. On booking... more

On route to Luton Airport stopped here with friends. They didn't like us having a social drink in the bar as it was full of locals. more

The restaurant was closed because it was a Sunday (tip. check out St Albans). We used the hotel as a stop over prior to a flight from the airport the next morning. The room was newly refurbished, clean and quiet. The staff were very good, particularly the lady at breakfast who cooked scrambled eggs and apologised for not being able to... more

I was forced into a training course in luton, and was not, in truth looking forward to the experience. however, after finally finding my way into the leaside hotel i was met with consideration and a pleasant reception, the manager could not have been more helpfull, the irish lady at breakfast was a gem. The bar was pleasant and the... more

This hotel is unique in Luton as it is a restored Victorian villa. The rooms are all different and have silk bedding and sunken baths! Sat telly and free internet is handy, but what I really liked was the food which is top banana. £75 quid for this level of comfort is impressive and included Full English (or continental if... more

A party of three of us stayed at the Leaside towards the end of June. We were very happy to find such a relaxed and informal environment, in contrast to the dismal concrete blocks that we have stayed in when visiting Luton in the past. The hotel is a converted mansion, retaining the character of the period. The room I... more
