I thought I was staying near Great Yarmouth, but this place is about 8 miles outside. Unforgiveably, this is yet another hotel which has a large bedroom equipped with the tiniest television it could buy, and even worse, they couldn't even stretch to getting a tv with teletext. Stayed one night on business. Very friendly welcome and staff are polite and efficient. Good location if touring the broads. Room was without any ' warmth' and not very well furnished, below travel lodge standard. The Horse & Groom is great for tourists with a car, ideal for visiting a range of villages in the Broads area, while nicely situated within striking distance of Yarmouth. Without a car it would be quite awkward to reach. A cheery welcome awaits and staff are helpful and friendly in the adjacent pub/restaurant. A security door to the hotel... more
