Hotel Rheinlust has a very unfriendly staff, from the front desk people to the waiters in the restaurants. The room was adequate but very dark (in color -- brown and burnt oranges, but also in terms of inadequate lighting). The view from the balcony room was the best thing about the hotel. more

We (My wife and myself) had 7 nights at the Rheinlust in early September 2006 and I can only say that it was an excellent experience. Even though the trains were a bit noisy. Take earplugs. While I booked my stay by emailing the property directly, there are a couple of websites that offer this hotel for nearly the same price. We stayed in rooms 311, which is just off the elevator, and 114, both with patios, for $90 per night for two people in each room, tax and breakfast included. I highly recommend booking one... more

A really nice stopping point for the middle rhine, staff were helpful, breakfast just fine. If you go in hot weather go out and buy a fan, it changes the room to being totally fine from being unbearably hot. take a travel kettle too! more

We are sad that old age prevents us sitting in the Dining room and eating a very good meal as the sun goes down again or watching the eagles flying flying from the cliff on the other side of the river while sitting on our room balcony.
