Recently stayed 2 nights at the Annagry and although the location is terrific, I don't think I'd stay there again. The walk in to town is actually at least 10, closer to 12 minutes. It is in a great location, easy walking distance to Kenmare town center and the waterfront, on the Ring of Kerry roadway and the Kerry Way hiking and biking trail, and a short drive to a beautiful shingle beach. On arrival, we were impressed by the good, clean condition of the building, both inside and out. But we were very down-hearted when we saw the room. Was this taking minimalism a bit too far? 4 white beds, one double and three single, rather reminiscent of tombs, were in this enormous room, with very little else to alleviate the coldness.... more
