When we arrived at the Mainstay after a very long day of travel by bus, we found the inn closed with a "no vacancy" sign on the door. The place still looked functional when looking through the windows, but our phone calls weren't even answered. At first, we thought that they had locked up for the night, because it was... more

Great quiet location. Ruth and Gus are great hosts. Excellent breakfast. Order the frittata! If you’re lucky, you can catch Gus playing at a local pub. more

We should like to sing the praises of the Mainstay Guesthouse B&B in Dingle, Ireland..... and of Ruth and Gus Cerone, its proprietors. The B&B is conveniently located in the center of town, so for us octogenarians it was wonderful. The place itself is congenial: nicely decorated and filled with all of the accoutrements which the transient guest requires. The... more

This was really a nice place for us after a long day of driving. The room was pleasant on a perfectly central but quiet street. The breakfast was really the best we had on our two weeks of Irish wandering. They also helped us find accommodations for a second night in Dingle when it seemed that everyone was totally booked.... more

We had a great time in Dingle, Co. Kerry Ireland! Our stay at the Mainstay Guesthouse made our holiday perfect. Our room was clean, bright and lovely. The owners Ruth and Gus are super helpful at answering all questions about what to do in town and what to see on the beautiful Dingle peninsula. The breakfast at the Mainstay was the... more

I would like to suggest a fantastic B&B in Dingle. The Mainstay Guesthouse is a great place! Owned and run by Gus (NewJersey born) and Ruth (Dublin born) Cero, it is a reasonable (40E/pp), very comfortable place with superb breakfasts that include much more than the traditional Irish breakfast. The Ceros go out of their way to be helpful, whether... more

For groups going to Dingle, the place to stay is MAINSTAY guesthouse. In Dingle, it is not easy to find a place to accommodate a large group in a setting with a small town local feel.. We did not want to go to a big hotel, but wanted the feeling of meeting the people and getting the inside track with... more

Just returned home from a great two week driving vacation in Ireland. I loved Dingle....colorful town and friendly people. I enjoyed the homemade scones fresh out of the oven when we stayed at The Mainstay. It was a comfortable home and very convenient to everything. Outstanding omelet and wide selection for breakfast. Upstairs there is a lovely sitting room that... more
