We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Trident Hotel Kinsale. We had a Junior Suite with a beautiful view over the Harbour. The room had one small radiator which was not on until about six in the evening which meant the room was cold when we returnded in the afternoon. It is November after all! Although... more

Stayed here as part of a CIE tour (which I would highly recommend - excellent experience after having serious doubts about taking a bus tour). I loved this hotel. I also loved the fishing village of Kinsale, so I guess staying here was all part of one big experience. Our room was very quiet and peaceful with large picture windows... more

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the trident in September 2007 and could not in any way fault the staff or the hotel. Throughout the wedding planning process they were consistently helpful, responded to all enquiries promptly, were terribly flexible and so organised and good humoured, it made such a big difference to our day. The hotel... more

This was my third trip to wonderful Kinsale, first stay at The Trident, but I will definitely stay there on my next trip. I think there have been some "rough" reviews because it's been referred to as a "4-star" hotel. It's not 4-star, but then there is NO real 4-star hotel in Kinsale. The Trident is, however, lovely, clean, newly... more

I would say this hotel is average. I don't know how this could get four stars, maybe 3 at best. The location is great. The hotel is roughly a five minutes walk from downtown Kinsale. It also sits on a beautiful harbour. The bar is nice, comfortable, and a good place for a drink, but with so many great bars... more

Kinsale is truely a fablous spot. Hotel is located at the end of the pier, over looking a mini marina. We arrived before 11am and told room not ready till 4pm. but if was ready before that time they would call, which they didnt. we left our bags behind the desk and told that they would be brought to our... more

I can't believe my eyes when I read some of the reviews about this hotel, I must have been having a nightmare? My family and I had intended a 6 night stay at the Trident, but left after just one night in a musty smelling, less than one star room. We had booked two interconnecting rooms for ourselves and our... more

Recently had an overnight stay at the Trident in Kinsale and have got to say it's OK.... The great thing about it, is its location in the town....thats the 4 star bit ! On arrival, reception staff were pleasant and professional. First impression of the rooms was like I said earlier, OK. Room we had had a great view over... more

We stayed here for 2 nights. the location is very good. the views from the room was a delight. breakfast had a very good selection and tasted good. the room was well laid out, though the toilets could maybe do with a refurb, but dont let that out you off; i'd recommend this hotel to any friend. take a good... more

The hotel is located at the end of the main street so it's a little quiter than others in terms of pedestrian traffic which was nice; the rooms overlook a marina and the views from the room were lovely. The room itself was very neat with streamlined furniture and updated bathroom. The restaurant and pub were very nice as well.... more
