we booked for 1 night and to be honest felt we did not get a lot of value for what we paid. The location leaves a lot to be desired especially when the tide is gone out as there appears to be a major sewage problem within the area. Parking is also very strange given the rates as you have... more

Like one other we were not totally overwhelmed with bed either as with rates charged should have been better.House is gorgeous otherwise with superb breakfast in conservatory but the car parking issue is another matter. We are sure the long scratch we discovered on our car came from having to park on the road outside as incredibly the house does not... more

My boyfriend and I stumbled across The Quay House online and were expecting a nice B&B - what a wonderful surprise! More like a boutique hotel.,The Quay house is beautifully decorated and has a luxury feel but is still cosy and welcoming at the same time. Rooms are large, airy and spacious. We had a four poster bed and balcony... more

This was my second stay at Paddy and Julia's beautiful house. As before, during the entire week, every aspect of the stay was superb; from the classy welcoming glass of red wine,to the excellent and interesting breakfasts, spotlessly clean studio and above all else-HUMOUR!! Love the hosts and the house-I will go there again. Maureen-Saudi Arabia more

My family and I recently spent 3 nights at the Quay House. We loved every room at the Quay House. Julia and Paddy Foyle were great hosts who gave us lots of good information on activities and restaurants in the area. The breakfasts were superb as well. more

Having read reviews on trip advisor we decided to check out the Quay-and we were not disappointed! What a wonderful, eclectic, warm and welcoming place. The hosts Paddy and Julia could not be nicer and really made you feel at home. The decor is amazing. The rooms are huge and so comfortable, it is truly a gem! And the breakfasts are... more

If you are into all things eclectic and can cope with wild animal skins and stuffed birds then go for it. It certainly didn’t suit us. We understood it was supposed to be one of those great Irish romantic getaways. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. However, it was freezing cold and the wind was blowing fiercely the night... more

Place is gorgeous. The room we stayed in was very big and romantic. The host Paddy is an avid collector. There are different paintings and interesting "trophy" animals around the house. more

This is a fantastic property, but not inexpensive. Paddy and Julia Foyle have created a magnificent inn in a beautiful location and decorated it in an imaginative, creative and eclectic style. Every space was covered with fantastic art and antiques. The rooms are huge with large bathrooms. The best and largest breakfast selection in Ireland served in a beautiful glass... more

We have recently returned from staying at The Quay House for the second time in two years. This was the only place we stayed at for a second time on this trip, partly because of where we were going but also because it is just such a special place. As a rule I don't write reviews for somewhere that we've... more
