As one of the other reviewers noted, this is a great way to start your vacation in Ireland. After a long flight from Atlanta to Shannon, via London/Gatwick, the Vaughn Lodge was a great start. It was an easy drive from Shannon Airport to Lahinch on good roads (rare in Ireland). This was more of a small luxury boutique hotel... more

We wisely chose the Vaughan Lodge Hotel to stay our first night in Ireland, after flying into Shannon. it is an easy trip from the airport to Lahinch - the roads wide and well marked - a rarity in Ireland and a good way to get used to driving on the wrong side of the road. My husband and his... more

Vaughan Lodge hotel is excellent! We stayed for a weekend after the hotel had re-opened for the '08 season and found all aspects of the service to be of fantastic quality. The owner met us outside and immediately made us feel welcome, our room was just as pictured on their website with many lovely touches and an enormous bed! We... more

We just completed a 9-day vacation in Ireland (our first trip) and the highlight by far was Lahinch and the Vaughan Lodge. No one in our party of 7 wanted to leave when it was time to go. The attentiveness of the staff, and Michael Vaughan in particular, was above and beyond what we could have imagined or hoped for.... more

Vaughan Lodge Hotel in Lahinch is Excellent, Wonderful, Superb, Marvelous!!!!! Just outside of town on a knoll with a view of the pounding Atlantic Ocean. Rooms are comfortable, spacious, well-appointed, good layout, with every amenity. The restaurant is sublime. Gourmet, delicious, and large portions. The only restaurant we encountered in all of Ireland where you actually get food equal to... more

About 1/2 mile from sea front. Some rooms on 1st floor have a view of the sea, not brilliant. However, that can't be said of this hotel which is a wonderful place. Your hosts, Marie & Micahel Vaughan seem to go out of their way to personally ensure your stay is unforgettable, even providing good literature for touring and first... more

My hat's off to the Vaughan Lodge! I was so impressed with the facility and how new and modern that is was. They were also extremely helpful and nice. I would stay there again without thinking twice. If you have a need to be in Lahinch, don't think about anywhere else. more

We pitched up in Lahinch on a glorious saturday without a place to stay. We viewed a number of guesthouses and were immediately impressed by the beautiful lodge. Luckily for us, they had a room available immediately. The room was modern, luxurious and tastefully decorated. Staff were wonderfully helpful and allowed us a late check-out as we wanted to go... more

I recently stayed at the Vaughn Lodge with 7 golfers. Our stay was for 3 nights of heaven. The entire staff went out of their way to see to our every needs. While we did not eat dinner at the lodge the breakfast was great as as was the service. One of the owners was always on staff should we... more

just returned from wedding w/end spent in Lodge. The way we were looked after was superb, all the rooms were booked and the meal and reception was first class and served very well by the polish waitresses! one thing I would have expected was perhaps tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom but otherwise highly recommend. Location is superb... more
