The standard of the room I was allocated at the Berna Hotel was appaling. It was damp, dark, dingy and dirty. There was wallpaper hanging off the walls and the air was filled with a nauseating foul odour. I complained to the hotel manager who was totally unsympathetic and refused outright to allocate me with another room. So bad was... more
