What a beautiful location, with every room having a balcony looking out on the fjord or the mountains. The owners were super picky about the rooms, and rightly so! This is a great place to stay in Flam. Our apartment was really beautifully kitted out with lots of attention to detail and very comfortable. The weather was really terrible when we were there and it was a very convenient spot to dry off and get a nice warm shower. Good price too for Norway. more

I had read several conflicting reviews on this site regarding the Fretheim Hotel. I decided to take the advice of one contributor and ask for the new wing.
