Just got back from another superb holiday in Malta,we stayed at the Luna complex again .The weather was brilliant ,hot and sunny for the whole of the two weeks! The appartments are still pretty basic, although we had a one bedroom sea view which was very large and more than enough room for the three of us.If you stay in Mellieha make... more

-Ancient furniture in rooms; -Matresses on beds filthy; -Room only cleaned every few days - not guaranteed when; -No air conditioning in standard rooms; -Bathroom and plumbing sub-standard; -Roof pool nice (quiet in mornings); -Not great entertainment in hotel; -Very quiet nightlife; -Food terrible in complex; -Bus service cheap and entertaining! - good to see whole island (beware most buses... more

Never before been to Malta, and probably never will again. Hotel and I use that word loosley!! is as I read on other reviews OK in reception area, then as we were led to our rooms, we were led down an 'alley', at the end of which had two very smelly wheelie bins!! not nice. Then we were taken out... more

I booked the lunar complex through expedia, it seemed to be the best value for money. I looked at the reviews and some were negative but I thought well it was expected. My friend and I arrived and were pleasantly suprised, the entrance was lovely with marble floors, the staff were very helpful and polite. I asked when booking, for... more

I visit Matla frequently having family on the island but have never stayed in the Luna. It seemed to have mixed reviews when looking at what people had said about it, however, this is very much how people tend to see Malta generally with regards to loving it or hating it, so I didn't take that much notice of the... more

We arrived at the Luna Complex or should that be THE LOONY at around 10.15 on the 22/7/08. We made our way into the lovely decorated lobby and reception and checked in, The receptionist was friendly enough and called the porter/hotel handy man (as we later found out) to show us to our apartment (ha ha). We followed him, each... more

We are just back from a week's stay at the Luna. Really nice complex, and friendly staff. We were self-catering, and there's a fully stocked mini-market on site, where you can buy just about anything you need. Having said that, there are plenty of places to eat around the complex - we ate twice at the Cafe Latino Punta Rena.... more

We stayed at the Luna for a week during the heatwave in malta and there was no air conditioning in the room! There was one ceiling fan and we had to pay if we wanted any extras. The room was only cleaned once in 7 days and it was still left dirty. Entertaining by the pool is horrible and it... more

Myself and husband are just back from a 6 night stay at the Luna. We had the superior apartment and it was excellent value at 71.65 Euro per night. It was an extremely clean room and well laid out. We were on the top floor so although our balcony looked out onto the road (and nice view across it) it... more
