The fire brigade and police had the street cordoned off for an hour before we could check in. Not given a room upgrade even with an Accor group card membership. Spacious but drab room.Shower curtain and tiles could be cleaner. Not one to rush back to.Restaurants near by. Come to that Canbera is drab too. more

Have stayed at the Novotel several times, its a great location, I was impressed with the size of the room and the standard was fine, I wasnt expecting 5 star and it wasnt but its just a 4star but the indoor pool is fantastic. This hotel is in a good location, friendly staff, but the hotel is pretty old and tired looking. The rooms are basic but clean. You get what you pay for with this one. The one thing I would say, is that the breakfast is not certainly not worth $30 each! It's better to go out for breakfast. more
