We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package at this hotel on June 1, for our wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we checked in and reception was quite good. Plenty of car parking too as it was a Sunday night, hotel 30% full only. Paid $249 for the package, so expected something very nice for that sort of money. Hotel condition:... more

Let me say straight off, I stayed at this hotel for a work trip to Canberra and didn't pay for it myself! I stayed at the Pavilion as it was close to my training centre. I had a king spa suite in the 'apartment' part of the hotel at $370 for two nights. This didn't include breakfast, although I purchased... more

We were told Monday am at 6.30,7.30,8.30.On arriving at desk at 7.30 ish we were told "Sorry courtesy bus cancelled today".Do they offer a courtesy bus or not? We were booked into a room at the rear of the hotel... more

After sitting at home by myself in Sydney on Good Friday (I had to work Easter Monday & my family were holidaying in Kangaroo Valley) I decided to look up wotif.com and see if there were any specials available in Canberra as I quite enjoy the 3 hour drive. I purchased the "pavilion mystery" (you only find out the class... more

I think I will have to use the "A" word myself, everyone else has! This hotel is adequate for the price. The rooms are spacious enough, the beds very comfortable, bathroom small but adequate. There is a lack of attention to detail. No wine glasses in the room. In Europe you don't get much but you do get wine glasses.... more

I stayed at the Pavilion for two nights while in Canberra for business. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which was quite large, and well set out. The kitchen had everything that I needed - fridge, microwave, crockery and cultery. There was a lounge area, as well as a dining table. The tv had numerous channels (free to air... more

I stayed there for two nights and generally had no problems until I got the bill on checkout. I had made a phonecall to a 1300 number which normally costs 40 cents and no hotel had ever charged me more than 1 dollar for this. Pavilion charged more than 20 dollars for this call (one dollar per minute), according to... more

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of Feb 08. Looked the best option for our price range and it probably was. From reading old reviews seems like this place has slipped a little over the last few years. Great location on Northbourne (we used bus to get around and this was fine). Not too far from Braddon and... more

We requested a standard room with a queen and a single as we were mother & daughter and did not fancy sharing a bed. We got a queen and a pull out sofa bed which we fixed ourselves. Our room faced the back car park and it was relatively quiet. The window could be opened slightly using the winding mechanism.... more

We stayed here for the APEC long weekend to escape the city. We got a special deal and only paid $185 for two nights in a double room. The girl at check in was friendly and the room looked recently refurbished. We are generally not too picky when it comes to the places we stay but considering this place is... more
