I stayed at the Capital Executive for three nights in September for work, paying $135 per night, not bad considering every hotel in Canberra usually pumps up a room price over the Floriade event. The carpet and paintwork throughout the hotel appreared new and they were replacing the two spas in the gym with brand new ones whilst I was... more

Late 2007 was when I was forced to visit Canberra for work - and that would have been bad enough - though I was booked into the Capital Executive APartment Hotel. - Well that sounds quite inviting - though unfortunately the name is the only positive. Far from all ammenities (except their own Italian Restaurant: right out of Communist Bulgaria),... more

Where should I start? With the dirty glasswear? the bunk beds in the room being directly covering the ONLY windows, the toilet hygeine seal thrown on the counter? NO. I'll start with the best part, the PUBIC HAIR AND BODILY FLUID STAINS IN OUR BED! Yes, this was my fiance and I's first impression of this hotel and the experience... more

We stayed in a family room for 5 persons. There was a queen bed in the main bedroom, with 1 bunk bed and a pull out sofa bed in the lounge. The pull out sofa bed was meant for 2 persons but it was not big enough. It was okay if you have 2 small children but the mattress was... more

My family and i stayed at this place on 1st Dec 2007, as we came down to canberra for a wedding. We stayed in a 5 person room which thought was going to be pretty spacious. Upon arrival, it was very quite small and the kitchen was tiny. Overall, clean wise, it was ok... but this was the only hotel... more

Stayed in one of the suites for a few days and found them to be quite adequate, if no the most modern place. The rooms were small, but otherwise nice and clean. The bathroom was quite nice, and included a spa. The kitchen was a little cramped but otherwise served its purpose. My only real complaint would be that the... more

Well I saw that previous posts did not have a lot of good points but I thought 'what the heck its over 2 years old the reviews and surely Canberra would not allow a hotel to be unclean'. The hotel is actually called the Capital Executive Apartments as it isn't know as the Comfort Inn via its booking site, but... more

I booked via a popular web site after reading a fantastic review which I now can only say must have been written by someone who has shares in the place. The review stated the hotel was newly opened, yes in the mid 80's. My room overlooked a busy intersection with no sound proofing, I asked if another room was available... more

I stayed in this hotel as a traveller of advanced years from the UK. The first impression was of the friendliness and courtesy of all the staff I came into contact with. I found the room was clean and tidy which fully met my expectations and was as described. The food was well prepared. In short I would recommend this... more

I booked this through another popular website r**estogo. On arrival, I walked out it was so bad and booked somewhere else. I am currently working with the small claims tribunal to get my money back as the hotel was so different from thee web writeup. They are claiming a one night cancellation fee which I do not believe I should... more
