The location is excellent, only a five-minute walk from Central Station. The rooms are you typical 3-star stuff. If you don't need to spend much time in your room and use it as a place to sleep, you'll be fine. The bathrooms are need of a spruce up. They are old and weatherbeaten. I set the air-con on the lowest... more

We had a room on the 17th floor and it was fine (apparently the rooms at the top of the hotel have been renovated). The room was small and not much space to put things, but it was good to have crockery, fridge, kettle, microwave etc. Very easy to get to. We got the train from the airport direct to... more

This was our first stopoff in Australia, and we were pleasantly suprised. We were paying $99AUD per night, which compared to many other Sydney hotels was really good. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, it is literally in the city centre, within easy walking distance to anything in the town. The rooms were not huge, but big enough to... more

If you're looking for a peaceful few nights in Sydney, look somewhere else. There are large (40) teenage tour groups always coming and going. You will wait for an elevator, you will wait for breakfast, you will be bombarded with constant rumblings from typical teenagers. If this doesn't bother you, you might like the place. It was clean, the shower... more

We arrived at the Travelodge early after a long flight from Auckland for a overnight stop before heading out. Since we arrived early, we were able to check in early. Once we arrived up to our room, they gave us twin beds instead of a queen bed like we had booked. Since there were loads of people downstairs and they... more

Funnily enough felt just like a bad hotel experience in the U.K. Our room was not been cleaned correctly, nor was it vacuumed for the first 5 nights of our stay. The bed was simply pulled together, never properly made. We were having to make the bed when we come back to the room each evening. Behind the bathroom door,... more

This hotel is a great deal for Sydney. Its still walking distance to everything (although moreso for younger legs.) Its clean, modern and close to transit. Sydney can be very expensive. This hotel is a great choice at a cheaper price. more

Stayed at this hotel for work training with another colleague. We were booked into a twin room with twin beds for 3 nights. The beds are tiny, reception say they are 2 feet 6 inches wide but this does not allow for the tapering at the side of the bed. On the second night I came back to the room... more

We stayed at the Travelodge for three nights with a group of 42 high school students from the US....there were two other lodge groups here at the same time, so travelers should know that this hotel is often used for groups. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is accommodating. Very good buffet breakfast. We did like the location since... more

If you are on a budget and you can't be bothered to walk for miles or get public transport then I doubt you can get much better value! I really can't fault the location. The hotel however wasn't as good. It looked really tired and in need of some serious upgrading. The rooms were adequate but hardly impressive. It's just... more
