This is where I called home for six weeks during Aug/Sept 2006. Warm and friendly, fulll of life. I met some of my best travel buddies here way back when it was called Footprints. Was booked in here as part of our Visa package - reading reviews on way out left me v concerned. Overall though this is not as bad as some reviews would have it. A few issues with this hostel. Travellers intending to stay here, beware. 1) Extremely Rude staff. Location was pretty good. Walkable distance to the harbour, but it's better to walk the three blocks in the opposite direction and take the train. I would recommend buying a railpass.
