Stayed here during the easter weekend. The hotel was quiet as we arrived on Good Friday. Location was good, rooms cleanliness was average. Could do with some redecoration. Pool was good, bonus as we were in the city. Pluses were that the location was great and plenty of hot water. Would stay again more

The Mercure Hotel lies on the Brisbane River. It is only 200 metres to the CBD and casino. It is a walk over the bridge to Southbank Entertainment area and the preforming arts centre and theatre. Stayed at the Mecure and whilst it has some of the mod cons and is close the the CBD it was dated and the maintainence was hopeless. Pleasant staff in a very average hotel with somewhat tired rooms. Adequate but not a lot to write home about. Fairly central location but the river view rooms come with a view of the flyover/motorway so not really the thing that romantic dreams are made of.
