After careful perusal and months of planning we chose Villa Vaucluse by the appealing photo presented in the brochure and its central location. We emailed and closer to the time phoned our request for an upstairs, quiet room and also mentioned that we would be arriving late morning. We stayed at Villa Vaucluse, 141 Grafton Street in Cairns. Very nice management, centrally located walking distance to town and able to plan/schedule all your tours. Recommend for price, value and comfort. more

I just got home from a week long stay at Villa Vaucluse. Now is the perfect time to stay there. The property has been completely redone. The room we had (#17) was super. We had to stay here because our previous plans did not work out. The price was way, way too high for what we got. On the surface, things look good. But the made us pay completely for the apartment two days before we were due to arrive--taking advantage of our dire desperation, I think. Plumbing was awful! Horrible noise any... more

Stayed at the Villa Vaucluse apartments in Cairns in September 2006. Very nicely appointed apartments in a great central location. Best value central accomodation I could find.
