I liked this Logde. Myself, boyfriend and his cousin stayed in a 4 bed motel style clean, good sized room. We were lucky and had it to ourselfs. Close walking distance to beach. Good size kitchen. I found Port 'O Call to be a decent alternative to all the posh resorts and villas in Port Douglas. Its all about expectations. The Port O Call is a backpackers and with that in mind its okay. Don't expect the Ritz. We had a spacious double room, en-suite with air-con (at night) and a tv. We were shocked when we contacted Port O' Call the day before our visit to give them our flight info. They have a once per day shuttle at 10:30am that will drive you from the Cairns airport to the hotel. If your flight happens to get in after 10:30am, as most do, there IS NO FREE SHUTTLE!!! This hostel was great value as it also included a free of charge coach trip from Cairns to Port Douglas. The room was large with with a huge bed, en suite facilities, fridge and private patio with outdoor dining chairs.
