We stayed for 2 nights at the Mantra One Sandy Bay Road and found the property to be perfect for our needs. The apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated and well appointed. We had a fabulous view over St Davids Park and a short stroll to Salamanca Place. Rosemary was welcoming and helpful with local knowledge. All in all a great... more

This hotel is located centrally and has the comforts of an apartment. But nothing is worth the noise. The hotel is located on a busy street. All cars and even the cross walk signal can be heard in the rooms. And while earplugs can kind of dull the roar from outside there is nothing that can stop you from hearing... more

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Mantra One Sandy Bay Road Hobart. The apartments were very clean and well appointed with modern furniture and the rooms were fully air-conditioned. The kitchen had a convection microwave, dishwasher and all of the essential kitchen equipment that you would require. The bathroom, toilet and laundry were all located in... more

Stayed here for work 1 night. We got 2 basic rooms for $130 and an executive for $170. The basic rooms were actually quite large. Everything was new, tasteful and comfortable. Excellent bedding. Can't open windows, but weather was too cold for fresh air. The executive room was massive, so large I think you could hold a successful party in... more

We had a 'Hotel Room' (the cheapest one) which is basically a studio room. With this room you get a kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans and plug in hot plates plus big bathroom plus washer dryer. The beds are indeed huge and comfy. Pillows could definately be better though. The place was very clean and everything is very... more

My wife & I recently stayed for 4 nights at Mantra One & can recommend it to anyone seeking above-average accommodation in Hobart. Our 1-bedroom apartment was on the fifth (top) floor with views to Mount Wellington, & was very spacious with separate lounge & kitchen areas. The lounge contained a dining room table with 4 chairs, 2 seater couch,... more

Booked the serviced apartments on wotif.com.au which started a fantastic visit to Hobart with the apartments being fantastic. Great location, easy access and a great price compared with other accomodation. The apartments are relatively newish and included kitchen and laundry facilities in the room. The bed was King sized and big enough to get lost in and the shower superb.... more

The Mantra is a new apartment hotel in the center of Hobart, close to Salamanca Square. It has been converted from the old Telstra building so ceilings are high and rooms are spacious. Our 'hotel room' consisted of: a sleeping area with two good size single beds; a kitchen with dishwasher, oven and lots of tableware; spacious shower room with... more

Very new conversion from the 'Old Telstra Building' right on the corner of Davey Street and Sandy Bay Road Hobart. It is literally less than 5 minutes to walk to the famous Salamanca Market which runs every Saturday rain, hail or shine. Allow at least 2 hours to wander amongst the stalls. There are also some great restaurants in this... more
