My husband and I stayed here when touring Australia in 2000. The location is great, just a short walk from great coffee bars and places to eat. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Melbourne and i'd be lying if i said it was anything less than faultless. Great rooms, great staff, great food, great views....you get the idea... Has all the furnishings of a 5 star hotel but the service didn't live up to the rating. They offer complimentary shoe shine and I had to speak to 3 different people to get it done. The gym is OK and the pool is quite nice. Rooms are quite nice with a mini-kitchen and a separated bedroom / lounge room. more
